(Where the F else?)
I detest plagiarism when it comes to writing fiction. But if we're talking about reality, that's a whole other story. Isn't real life, with its fever for replication, just a sort plagiarism made flesh, anyway? Watch me thus steal with impunity from my fine writer pal Christian A. Larsen (check out LOSING TOUCH. NOW), who on his blog today spoke for me and 27 other authors when he said:
"The latest publication notch in Stephen King’s belt, QUALIA NOUS, is now available in paperback from Written Backwards via Amazon.com."
I couldn't have said it better myself so I said it hisself.
It's got my story "The Angel Chaser" in it.
This beautiful 448-page anthology was edited by the Bram Stoker Award®-nominated and Neversleeping Man, Michael Bailey. It's smart sci-fi/horror.
I don't really get the distinction, personally—since everything gets worse day by day and sci-fi usually takes place in the future—then how could it not be horror fiction, really? Or did I just get too much Schopenhauer in my peanut butter this morning? Hmn. Yes . . . Don't want to be too gloomy in this post as it ill-fits what is undeniably a rousing call for ecstatic Bacchanalia. Hold on—I'm going to read a few passages from an inspirational book like Jonathan Livingston Seagull and get right back to you . . . Ok, back! And I feel more than ever that nothing could be more horrible than existence.
