I haven't posted in a long time, but I have lots to report. I shall have to do so in dribs and drabs . . . So might as well start with a BIG DRIB:

Preternaturally Prolific Megeditor & Astonishovelist Michael Bailey is releasing Chiral Mad 3 via Written Backwards in the near future, early 2016 (the past was booked solid, probably with all his other amazing projects). This is great enough news as it is, and to top it off I'm proud and flabbergasted that two of my poems (I call them "Whispers" because I think I'm all literary) will be appearing in Chiral Mad 3-- Especially when I see that over 300 submitted and only 10 poetasters will be included . . . Ooh, look at me tooting my Casio synthesizer with "French Horn" setting selected .  . . Can you say Proud? It's highly unlikely that you can't, it would be sad. "Death be not" in any case.

You'd be better off checking out Michael's own post to get the details about Chiral Mad 3--They are worth salivating about, you'll need a spittoon, you'll wonder where to get one, seriously where do you buy a spittoon nowadays, what is the best substitute, is a mug sufficient, do you need more of a bucket-type thingie?--Anyway it's not like how, you know, First Blood was a great movie, and then Rambo was like, eh, what was that? And then there was a Rambo 3 I think--There must've been--But see, it's NOT like that!

With these Chiral Mads, each one is incredible. Chiral Mad 3, for example, contains NEW stories from Ramsey Campbell and Gene O'Neill . . . and it's gonna be illustrated by Glenn Chadbourne, and, a-a-and . . . Dropping three names is enough to make me too tired to pick up any more. I start to fade, the way I do when they put the entire credits for the movie when it starts rather than after the ending-- But let's just say EVERY name in there so far is worth dropping . . . What I'm trying to say is, that Michael Bailey says it way better, and with a hell of a lot more grammatical integrity . . . And I think less ellipses . . . OK, OK already! I'll shovel the snow now! What's with NYC this winter?

With my deepest sympathies to those of you unable to say Proud,

Erik T. Johnson
