August 23 is some kind of prestigious day for Dark, "Literary" Fiction. Not only will I CAN TASTE THE BLOOD be available on Amazon, but I am incredibly excited that YOU, HUMAN, containing my brand, spanking new short story "The Immigrants" will begin a preorder campaign! On August 23! (That's a candid shot of ME, HUMAN on the right, writing "The Immigrants" in my happy place. I think.)

As copied and pasted from the Dark Regions Press site
(Copying and Pasting being the sincerest form of flattery):

Bram Stoker Award winning editor Michael Bailey brings sci-fi back to Dark Regions Press with heart in this genre-bending anthology of dark science fiction and poetry: You, Human. With fiction illustrated beautifully throughout by world-renowned artist L.A. Spooner, with poetry and spot illustrations supplied by the always-impressive Orion Zangara, and with an incredible introduction on humanism by New York Times bestselling author F. Paul Wilson, You, Human is a triumphant return to science fiction for Dark Regions Press, initiating the new Dark Regions Sci-Fi imprint as book #1. You, Human marks the 2nd time Dark Regions Press has published a story by Stephen King.

ME AGAIN: There hasn't been such an amazing list of brilliant individuals put together towards the accomplishment of a single yet titanic endeavor since Eisenhower and Congress sat naked in a circle holding hands and unanimously decided to add that our nation was "Under God"--as if it wasn't/isn't under enough stress as it was/is--to the Pledge of Allegations-- I mean Allegiance.
